Being that I was at the Sugarland concert on Saturday, I did not attend the UGA v Arizona State game. It is an interesting concept for someone who is so into football to rely on a text message for details. Being that most people short hand all their text messages, it was very frustrating for me on Saturday. It was also tough knowing that we were winning, then falling behind and playing catch up till the last few seconds.
Physically being at a game and watching a game on TV is something that one gets use to and comes to love. But, I do not recommend relying on text messages for game details. I am, however, glad that we pulled yet another one out!

A Nail Biter
The South Carolina v Georgia game was just that, a nail biter. As fans, we have all come to know and expect a close, low scoring game when it comes to this old rivalry. But to all of our surprise this was one of the highest scoring games between these two teams to date.
This type of game is one that you want to, but don't want to watch. It keeps you on the edge of your seat and you just know that the next play could make, or break it for your team. This game was also one that you had to watch from beginning to end. It was like an action or suspense movie, if you missed one part or one line you were lost throughout the rest of the movie. This game was that intense and I am so glad that we came out victorious.
This was just what U.G.A needed after losing to O.S.U.

Movie Review, "All About Steve"
OK...this was not my pick at the movie theatres, but when your with my sister and my Grandmother that all kind of goes down the drain.
I was very skeptical about this movie. I was not sure if it was going to be just another sill comedy or whether it was actually going to have some meaning to it.
Well I was pleasantly surprised. This movie was actually really funny and had a good story to go along with it. Sandra Bullock is one of my favorite actresses and Bradley Cooper is not so bad to look at either.
In the movie Bullock is a "know-it-all" cross word puzzle developer, who is literally like a walking encyclopedia in this movie. Cooper is a camera man for a major television network, who is shallow and is out for one thing in a woman. The two meet on a blind date and from there on out Bullock is obsessed with Cooper.
After their so called "date" she begins following Cooper and his crew around. Throughout her journey, Bullock encounters very interesting people and situations. This is also where the plot thickens and Bullock is finally able to see the truth about Cooper and her self.
In the end Bullock is finally able to see the true side of Cooper, that he really is not into her. She is also able to discover that even though she is different, there are people in this world that will accept you for who you are.
I really enjoyed this movie. It kept me laughing, along with the entire theatre. I recommend this to anyone that is in the mood for a good laugh.

"Somebodies"
The "Somebodies" episodes that we viewed in class today were mildly funny and entertaining. I found that the pilot episode did a good job of introducing the characters. It is evident from the pilot episode that "Scottie" is the main character. The pilot also revealed some issues that would be dealt with throughout the rest of the episodes. The main issue being that "Scottie" is one of his only friends that is not getting ready to finish school. I did find myself enjoying the pilot and interested in what was coming in the second episode.
The second episode was much better than the pilot. In this episode the audience is really able to understand the direction of the main character. It is more evident in this episode that "Scottie" is trying to separate himself from the distractions of his friends and surroundings, so that he is able to concentrate on his school work. Although he finds himself with harassing neighbors it is obvious that "Scottie" is trying to find a way to succeed and beat the odds.

A Disappointing Beginning
As we all know by now UGA lost it's season opener, Saturday, to the Cowboys of Oklahoma State. It was a disappointing beginning to a long football season. Being that UGA has not lost a season opener since Mark Richt has been here, this is a new experience and feeling for the fans and players.
Although our defense put on a great fight and held OSU to only 24 points, Saturday. It was our offense that failed to deliver and take advantage of our defenses success. Hopefully, this game will stand as a lesson and booster for the rest of the season. The SEC is the toughest conference in the NCAA and we can all only hope that UGA will turn this season around, quickly.
